2012 Diversity Leadership Awards

Nominations are now open!

The Award Ceremony will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on
Thursday, May 3, 2012 in Shriver Hall on the Homewood campus.
Reception to follow.

The Johns Hopkins Institutions Diversity Leadership Council Diversity Recognition Awards recognize outstanding accomplishments of faculty, staff, students or groups whose demonstrable efforts foster greater appreciation, advancement and celebration of diversity and inclusiveness in the Johns Hopkins culture and environment.

Eligibility Criteria

All faculty, staff and students at Johns Hopkins University, the Health System and Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), except current members of the Council, are eligible to participate. Individuals may self nominate or be nominated by any Johns Hopkins community member. *Note: In an effort to provide fair recognition of all deserving nominees, previous award recipients are ineligible until six years following their last award. Nominations should describe the nominee’s commitment to the advancement of diversity, inclusion, or multiculturalism as demonstrated by efforts and accomplishments.

The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, March 2, 2012.

Please attach a statement supporting your nomination of this individual for the Diversity Recognition Award. Statements should not exceed two pages in length and must be double-spaced. Statement should include specific examples of how the nominee's efforts and accomplishments conveyed an appreciation and celebration of diversity, inclusion or multiculturalism. It should also address how the nominee's efforts and accomplishments add to Johns Hopkins' efforts to promote and advance a more diverse, inclusive and supportive environment for all members of Johns Hopkins.
