
President Ronald J. Daniels and Mr. William Gray William Gray is an employee at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory. Mr. Gray is being recognized because of his extraordinary effort to educational outreach program support and mentoring during 2008. William has dedicated countless off-work hours to tutoring and fostering an environment of “can do” amongst young future professionals participating in achievement oriented programs in Maryland. He mentored a summer intern during the 2008 Summer Intern program by providing encouragement and instruction to a diverse student.
Mr. Gray provides tutoring, college preparation and general orientation to diverse young people in Maryland through his participation in a number of programs that target growth and encouragement to students who may otherwise not have knowledge of educational and career opportunities available to them. William also designed and presented a college preparatory and character building program as a participant in the “Bridges Program” for Howard County high school students. Mr. Gray is active member of the JHU/APL Hispanic Awareness Club and Maryland Engineering and Science Achievement (MESA) Program. He is also active in a number of activities that promote diversity within academia and the workplace. Congratulations Mr. Gray on your commitment to diversity and inclusion initiatives.
